How to: Create special text effects with WordArt.
Solution:
Click on the desired location where the WordArt Object is to be inserted. Select the 'Insert' menu and select 'Object'. Select Microsoft WordArt from the 'Object Type' list box. Click 'OK'. Type the text, update display, and use the menu and toolbar options.
1) Click on the desired location for the special text effect is to be added.
2) Select the 'Edit' menu and select 'Object...'. (The object dialog box appears.)
3) Click the 'Create New' tab.
NOTE: This step is for Microsoft Word ONLY. If using PowerPoint, proceed to the next step.
4) Select Microsoft WordArt from the 'Object Type' list box.
5) Click 'OK'. (The WordArt menu and toolbar appear.)
6) Type desired text in the 'Enter Your Text Here' dialog box.
7) Select the desired text effect options from the WordArt menu and
toolbar.
8) (Optional) Click 'Insert Symbol...': (The Insert Symbol dialog box appears.)
a) Click symbol to insert.
b) Click 'OK'. (The symbol is added to the 'Enter Your Text Here' dialog box.)
NOTE: Only one symbol can be added at a time.
9) Click 'Update Display'. (Text is transferred to the document.)
10) Click anywhere outside the WordArt object frame to return to the program.
